Ropes Course
What is a ropes course?
We can't hide our pride in the ropes course we offer. Our ropes course is comprised of both low and high ropes elements designed to challenge each and everyone to grow both physically and mentally.
Our low ropes course includes elements like the TP Shuffle, Mountain Tops, and the Mohawk Traverse. These, and other elements, help groups explore communication issues and skills, problem solving techniques, temperaments, dependence on others, patience, goals, and last but certainly not least, trust. More detailed descriptions of our low ropes elements are located further down on this page.
The low ropes course has hosted a variety of visitors ranging from church groups focused on "standing in the gap", to law enforcement teams pushing one another to protect and serve their team as well as their community. Experiencing our low ropes elements can make for a unique day for any group, or they can be combined with the high ropes elements for even more fun...with a break for lunch of course!
Our high ropes elements are the eye catchers, the daunting poles and cables that capture your attention and your breath as you enter our camp. These elements, including the Tower, Pamper Pole, and the Screamer, are designed to push the limits of perceived risk and safety with emotional growth as the main goal. We emphasize perception of risk, as safety is of the highest priority at our camp. The course is inspected on daily basis by our staff, and yearly by the highly trained personnel at Adventure Experiences. More detailed descriptions of these elements are found further down on this page.
Groups wishing to participate in the high elements may have some of these common goals: appropriate risk taking, trust, respect, team work, cooperation, and communication.
As with the low elements, visitors whom we’ve been fortunate enough to host have ranged from church groups, corporate agencies, to law enforcement agencies.
Read below for some descriptions of specific low/high elements and feel free to contact us for more information.. We look forward to talking with you and catering to your needs, we’re confident that you’ll find an unsurpassed experience at our camp and challenge ropes course!

Low Ropes Course Elements
Zig Zag : Watch your step, keep your balance, help your neighbor, communicate…and don’t fall! Help yourself and your group get arranged in certain order all while staying off the ground. You'll experience the processing of communication, trust, communication, and most of all...helping others.
Acid River : Stranded on a block, nowhere to go but straight, and you have only one plank to move proceed...oh and don’t forget your group! Watch elements of teamwork, patience, and problem solving flow in abundance as buttons are pushed, limits are exceeded, and rivers are crossed.
TP Shuffle : Balance is subjective…and misleading. Arrange your group in a specified order on this element but don’t touch the grass! Your group gets up close and personal as ideas are exchanged and the bridge is crossed between perception and reality!
Spider Web : Get yourself and your group through this tangled web! But be careful to not wake the spider, you know what they say…everything’s big in Texas!
All Aboard : You think you know your group?! Have you stood on a 2x2 platform with your group?…yeah all of them. Challenge the Law of Conservation of Matter- no two objects of matter can occupy the same space…says who?!
Skis : Communication may not be an issue with your group, until this little element! Watch as “too many chiefs and not enough indians” try to get your group across the field. Tempers flare, adversity rises, but your group succeeds by using the all-important tool of listening.
Mountain Tops : Surrounded by water, no food, or drink, but you do have your group. Solve our Mountain tops element and you’ll get to your goal, mentally and physically!
Blind Maze : Allow us to lead you through the woods to our maze…blindfolded. Suddenly your immersed in a rat race to get out…but the door may surprise you!
Nitro Crossing : Time’s ticking, sweat is trickling down your brow, you have the key to save yourself, your group and possibly the world, now to just get it across. Do you and your group have what it takes?
High Ropes Course Elements
Incline Log : Is your balance okay…on a log ascending in mid air? Push yourself to climb this log and you’ll find that the battle’s not over, but the hardest part may be behind you!
Burma Bridge : So now that you’ve conquered the incline log, a three line bridge suspended 23 feet in the air is a walk in the park!
Heebee Geebee : It’s a cake walk across the foot cable while using the hand ropes to get to the other side…wait, they cross in the middle. Time to get down and dirty, but don’t flip out, really!
Bolson’s Loop : Monkey bars have never held a candle to these loops. Use your feet to walk across, but don’t get hung up on the details!
High Swinging Log : Just take a walk across the log using the convenient hand ropes, but hold on, you not on steady ground.
Multivine : Show Tarzan how it’s really done by using the vines to get across the foot cable. But don’t look down…its jungle down there!
Catwalk : Need a break, just stroll across our cat walk. So you like to joust? Arm and defend yourself with our swords, last person standing wins!
Dangle Duo : Just take a minute for you and your buddy to climb our ladder. It’s just 30 feet tall and suspended between two poles…better take a few minutes!
The Tower : As one of the most requested elements, our climbing tower doesn’t make many friends! Test your skill and strength, but most importantly…your determination.
Zip Line : Now that you’ve conquered our 45 foot tower, all you have to do is get down. Take a ride on our 100 yard zip line, just watch that first drop.
Rappel Wall : Zipping not your style? Just take matters into your own hands, our instructor will give you a crash course in rappelling and down you go!
Screamer : The swing, a childhood favorite; however, add 45 feet and you’ve got the Screamer! All you have to do is clip in and let your group do the rest…enjoy the ride!
The Pamper Pole : Jumping off of a perfectly good pole into mid air with the hopes of catching a trapeze may not seem logical, but man its fun! Oh, did we mention that it’s 28 feet in the air…minor details.
